About Us

We are a mother/daughter team who have actively engaged with and supported the LGBTQ+ community for many years. We’ve witnessed with joy and hope the country’s journey toward a more inclusive society—one that embraces marriage equality, gender-affirming healthcare, and broader visibility and acceptance for all identities.

But when 2025 arrived, we saw a troubling shift. Safe spaces for Queer expression were increasingly under threat, and we felt called to stand in solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community in resistance to rising discrimination and erasure. Inspired by the spirit of Stonewall—a riot born from courage, rage, and the demand for dignity—we created Pride Is a Riot.

This project aims to showcase the voices and creative work of LGBTQ+ individuals and allies who use their art to affirm identity, celebrate resilience, and fight back against hate.
